The Institute for Socio-Economic Studies of Population (ISEPS RAS) was established in 1988 by Nalalia Rimashevskaya to elaborate on the methodology of socio-economic studies of population with the aim of contributing to the improvement of the socio-economic situation in Russia.
The Institute undertakes systematic multidisciplinary studies with a focus on three main research areas:
- socio-economic problems
- social and demographic processes and trends
- principles and mechanisms of social policy
