AUI is an institution of higher education and scientific and technical research. The University contributes to the attainment of Morocco’s educational, cultural and economic objectives and serves the international community, notably through:
- the advancement of science and technology
- the training of graduates with strong academic and professional qualifications
- the implementation of research programmes in all areas of national or international interest, with particular emphasis on major national or regional socio-economic issues.
The University is also engaged in partnerships with international institutions and currently has exchange and research programmes with almost 40 universities in various countries, mostly in the United States.
The University consists of the following schools:
- School of Business Administration
- School of Science and Engineering
- School of Humanities and Social Sciences
The University also includes several centers for research and training, including:
- The Language Center
- The Center of Academic Development and Study Skills (CADS)
- The Executive Education Center
- The Institute of Economic Analysis and Prospective Studies
- Center for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems
- IDRISI Research Centers (IRC)
The University’s library (Mohammed VI) provides access to a wide variety of electronic resources (full- text electronic books, electronic journals, etc.). The Library also subscribes to Document Delivery Services to provide faculty and graduate students with articles not available in the AUI Library collections and databases.
