Dr Thomas A. Zimmermann is a research associate at SIAW-HSG. He is co-editor of "WTO News" and teaches international economic relations in management seminars. In addition, he lectures on international trade policy at the Postgraduate School of Economics and International Relations (Alta Scuola di Economia e Relazioni Internazionali; ASERI) at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy as well as at the China International Law School, a programme offered by the Center for International Business and Commercial Law in co-operation with Tongji University in Shanghai, China. His research interests focus on international economic policy, including the multilateral, regional, bilateral and autonomous levels, and on the competitiveness of national economic policies.
In his main job, Dr Zimmermann serves as head of staff at the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in Berne.
