The Media Community website is the virtual platform and principal instrument of the Media Community, a partnership between media professionals from developing countries and organisations working in the field of communication and development. Radio Nederland Training Centre (RNTC) is the lead in the initiative (see separate Eldis entry). Services are also available in Spanish.
WWW includes:
- information about the participating partners in the Hosts room
- an online bulletin board and discussion area in the Coffee Room
- a multi-media research area in the Library
- an educational centre, including access to distance education in the Classroom
- a virtual project work space in the Factory
