Mahidol University International College (MUIC) is an independent college within Mahidol University, and equal in status to a faculty of the university. MUIC stresses three key elements in university education: learning mathematics and science; literacy in the English language, in literature, philosophy and arts; and practice in basic communication skills.
Students are required to complete between 188 and 190 quarter credits for graduation from three areas of study: general education, major field of study, and free elective courses.
Since 2000 MUIC has offered a program in Southeast Asian Studies as an option for a Social Science Major.
