The Machreq/Maghreb Gender Linking and Information Project is a forum for debate, learning and exchange on women, gender and development amongst interested groups in the Middle East and Maghreb region. It is a project of the Collective for Research and Training on Development-Action (CRTD-A), and is based in Lebanon, with organisational links to Yemen, Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco.
Project components consist of:
- Training and Capacity Building – focuses on furthering local skills, knowledge and expertise on women, gender and development as well as exchanges through country-based and regional training workshops
- Communications and Publications – project is developing a regional database on women, gender and development for general use
- The Exchange Programme – focuses on networking, sharing experiences and exchanging knowledge and skills through visits between groups and NGOs in the Middle East/Maghreb region as well as collaborative projects and action researches. The project also promotes cross- regional networking, collaboration and solidarity.

- gender and development contacts database compiled from individual or organisational information submitted through online form
- library catalogue, browsable online by topic area
- chat forum
- links and contact details for women’s organisations in Arab countries
