The International Development Centre (IDC) is an inter-faculty centre to develop academic research and teaching interventions on issues of international development, based on collaborations and networking with colleagues from around the world, especially Africa.
IDC draws on an interdisciplinary network of scholars and researchers from all Open University faculties involved in research and teaching in international development. The Centre is a focus for international development research and partnerships in the University, and is part of the University’s Africa Strategy – a strong institutional commitment by this world-leading distance university to work in partnership with African higher education institutions to develop teaching and research capacity for African development.
