ILOAIDS, the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Programme on HIV/AIDS and the world of work, has three key objectives:
- to raise awareness of the economic and social impact of AIDS in the world of work
- to help governments, employers and workers support national efforts to prevent the spread and reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS
- to fight discrimination and stigma related to HIV status.
The Programme responds to the effects of HIV/AIDS in the world of work and supports the efforts of its tripartite constituents through:
- research, policy analysis and advocacy
- adivisory services
- technical meetings
- development of education and training programmes
- information resources and publications.
