Center conducts environmental activities in different directions including marine environment protection, biodiversity protection and environmental health. It provides services in the following main areas: environmental design, impact studies, physical environment studies, heritage studies, waste management, forest management, tourist and rural development, bacteriology, microbiology and ecological investigations.
In 2001 the Center was involved in the creation of Georgia’s Ornithological Atlas as part of the World Bank project on biodiversity. In 1997 the Center was invited as a consultant for the drafting of the National Blak Sea Strategic Plan prepared by the International Maritime Organization
