The Centre is part of the Institute, which is part of the University of London (attached to the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children).
The Centre works “to promote the health, nutrition and welfare of children and their families in less developed countries by research, teaching consultancy and advocacy”. Maintains a resource centre (open to the public on appointment) , which includes materials from the Teaching Aids at Low Cost (TALC) programme (see separate entry). WWW site has information on the Centre, its courses/research/staff, , list of publications, full text of reports prepared for the DFID/ODA sponsored “Improved care of diseases of childhood” programme, and information on their “child-to-child programme”.
