The ASIES is a multidisciplinary, private, non-profit organisation aiming to promote studies, discussions and reflection on Guatemalan problems and their international implications. Another objective of the association is to stimulate the participation of the citizens, enabling them to get involved in the process oriented to strengthen democracy in Guatemala.
The Association provides communication and exchange opportunities among researchers and academics in order to promote their professional and cultural development.
ASIES comprises a multidisciplinary staff of Guatemalan professionals including economists, lawyers, political scientists, educators, environmental experts and anthropologists who work as consultants for the association.
