<p>In 2008, the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) of Vietnam officially requested the Korean government to advise it on the development of the Vietnamese economy under the title, &ldquo;Sharing Korean Development Experience.&rdquo; Based on the strategic importance of bilateral relations between the two nations as well as Vietnam's growth potential and determination to implement the KSP with Korea, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MOSF) designated Vietnam as a Strategic Development Partner<br />
Country (SDPC) in 2009 for a duration of three years. The project intends to analyze the socio-economic situation and provide policy alternatives for the first two years, and conduct intensified or additional research and consultation in those areas that are necessary for the third year.</p>
