Women’s World Banking, a global network of microfinancing institutions, seeks to change the way the world works by connecting poor women to economic and financial systems. Founded in 1979 in the Netherlands as a non-for-profit financial institution, WWB operates out of offices located in New York, USA with a 40-person global team from over 20 countries.
The WWB Network is comprised of 25 affiliates, 6 associates and 21 members of the WWB Global Network for Banking Innovation. WWB network members operate in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe, and North America.
