Women’s Learning Partnership for Rights, Development, and Peace (WLP) is an international, non-governmental organisation (NGO) that works to empower women and girls in developing countries to re-imagine and re-structure their roles in their families, communities, and societies. WLP provides leadership training, supports capacity building, helps women to generate and receive information and knowledge, and advocates for women’s human rights. WLP conducts all of its work in collaboration with partner organisations located in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, and with members of an international network of experts.

The WLP website provides links to partner organisations. Resources include access to the quarterly newsletter, links to and information about books, articles and numerous manuals on issues such as women and human rights, women and violence, and women and leadership. There is also a Directory of Women Leaders from developing countries which includes profiles and contact details, and another page provides contact details for women’s organisations working in developing countries. The WLP’s Culture-specific Leadership Training Handbook for Women is available for downloading from the site in English, French, Shamy-Arabic, Russian, Persian and Swahili. Video and audio excerpts of women’s speeches are available on the site.
