RCEP is focused on analyzing and evaluating economic policies, improving the existing capacities in formulating, correlating and implementing these policies. Its goal is also to develop the communication process within the structures of public administration and between those and the civil society, harmonizing the economic policies with the social needs.
RCEP is involved in:
- research activity and elaboration of studies on economic issues (budgetary, monetary and fiscal policies, privatization, restructuring, trade, investment, and others) with a permanent emphasis for the preparation of Romania’s accession to the European Union
- teaching and training programs in the field of economic policies
- broadening of the rational and informed public dialogue by organizing public debates (seminars, conferences, workshops) on economic topics and by publishing valuable papers on economic issues
- consulting services and technical assistance to existing capacities involved in the field of economics
- cooperation activities and contributions to joint projects with Romanian and foreign partners in economic research activities related to Central and East-Europe issues
- active participation to international events.
