Stakeholder Forum is an international organisation working to advance sustainable development and promote democracy at a global level. Formerly known as the United Nations Environment and Development Forum and UK Committee (UNED-UK), it aims to enhance open, accountable and participatory international decision-making on sustainable development through enhancing the involvement of stakeholders in intergovernmental processes. Stakeholder Forum is a not-for-profit organisation and receives funding from governments, United Nations agencies, foundations and international financial institutions.
As UNED-UK it promoted outcomes from the first Earth Summit in 1992 and Earth Summit 2002 particularly through support of UNEP, UNDP, UN Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) and other UN bodies.
UNED Forum managed the ‘Towards Earth Summit 2002’ project concentrating on the following areas:

From 2003 onwards the organisation has aimed to facilitate stakeholders internationally in implementing international sustainable development agreements and the Millennium Development Goals. Stakeholder Forum has offices in London and New York, and works with consultants from around the world.
