SATELLIFE is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to connecting health practitioners in resource-poor countries with the information they need to build healthier communities. It provides a range of electronic resources to break down barriers to information access, connect practitioners with critical health information, and facilitate local and global knowledge networks that strengthen dialogue and partnerships among the global health community.
Resources include three electronic publications called HealthNet News, which consist of abstracts and articles from leading medical publishers, addressing a wide range of clinical and public health issues from HIV and AIDS and malaria to diabetes. They are only available to persons who live in resource-poor countries.
SATTELIFE also hosts electronic discussion groups (e-forums) to facilitate dialogue and promote collaboration among health professionals worldwide. These are open to anyone regardless of location.
