World Bank department dealin in a multidisciplinary spirit with creating sustainable strategies for rural development. It’s latest initiative is the Rural Development Strategy Update. The World Bank’s Rural Development group is beginning work on a revision of “Rural Development: From Vision to Action,” the rural development sector strategy published in 1997.
The objective of this exercise is to prepare an operational document for the various regions of the Bank, and the Bank as whole, which provides a framework for revitalizing Bank rural development activities.
