The Peace Institute is a research institution focussing on marginalised social and political issues. It specialises in research on issues of violence, war and security, racism and political conflicts, gender studies, cultural studies, political and social practice, human rights, and media studies. The Institute aims to integrate academic work with concrete social and political engagement and develop action-based research projects.
