Pact is an international non-governmental organisation with activities in 60 countries in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America Pact Tanzania aims to assist Tanzanian civil society organisations. The NGO is based on the premise that an organisation which is strong in its management, finances, planning and governance will be more capable of achieving its mission.
In addition to organisational capacity strengthening, Pact is implementing a number of grant programmes to support orphans and other children at risk. Pact is working with civil society and the government of Tanzania to identify and channel resources to groups that are fighting to mitigate the affects of HIV and AIDS in their communities. Pact Tanzania is also working with civil society networks and coalitions to improve their ability to advocate to the government and help bring about positive and sustainable change.
