The Pact AIDS Corps initiative is an expression of Pact’s institutional commitment to HIV/AIDS as the predominant global development challenge for the foreseeable future.

The Pact AIDS Corps pledges to develop the capacities and resource mechanisms for communities to:

  • strengthen local leadership
  • mobilize diverse citizen’s participation and hope for the future
  • tackle critical gender, stigma, poverty and cultural roots causes
  • organize multi-sector response committees
  • increase community-based organizational capacity
  • unleash community assets
  • use human rights approaches to increase
  • access to HIVAIDS prevention, care, support and treatment
  • apply information and communications technologies and models to expand responses
