The International Poverty and Health Network [IPHN] formed as a result of a series of meetings organised by the World Health Organisation [WHO] on the theme of poverty and health.
The website and email bulletins ceased to be produced in October 2002, but previous issues are archived on the website
Its activities were in four main areas:
- mobilising stakeholders from different sectors
- involvement in major international meetings, e.g. Copenhagen plus 5 summit
- information and research
- capacity building in community approaches to poverty reduction
