Autonomous organisation working to empower less developed countries to cope with the challenges of the of ageing populations by building capacity for them to be able to educate and train their own personnel to formulate and implement their own appropriate policies. Provides regional training centres for this purpose in developing countries and regions by training and educating key personnel in different aspects of ageing including: social gerontology; health and longevity; the economic and financial aspects of ageing; and demography of ageing, both through international short courses and in-situ country courses.
