ISODEC is a non-profit organisation that promotes social justice and human rights in Ghana and the West Africa sub-region. Areas of research and advocacy include:
- analysing macro-economic policy
- human rights
- promotion of social equity through the responsible use of public resources
- government accountability
Part of ISODEC is the Centre for Budget Advocacy (CBA), which is a programme that seeks to analyse the impact of economic policies and multilateral institutions on the well-being of the poor. The centre also undertakes analysis of the Ghanaian budget and is currently sponsoring an economic modelling effort to analyse the social impacts of macroeconomic and structural adjustment policies.
