The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) was launched in April 2001 as a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to deliver independent, analytical, critical yet constructive research into social, political and economic issues that affect development in Namibia. The IPPR was founded with the conviction that Namibian decision-makers and the Namibian public at large stood to benefit greatly from rigorous and accessible research on political, social and economic issues.
The work of the IPPR is divided into three programmes:
- Public Opinion Programme
- Democracy and Governance Research Programme
- Public Policy Analysis Programme
