The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a public policy think-tank which promotes interest in and studies of issues which are of major concern to Singapore and acts as a bridge between the government, the business community, scholars, journalists and other opinion-makers in Singapore.
The IPS focuses its research on the following issues:

- environmental and urban studies
- information society
- international relations and international law
- mass communications
- multiculturalism and identities
- politics and governance.
