The Institute of Economic Sciences, conducts research in the field of:
- contemporary economic theory
- the Polish economic system’s transformation
- economic policy during the systemic transformation
- adjustment of Polish economy to the world economy
- problems of integration with Western Europe (the European Union)
It is authorised to confer the academic degree of doctor and doctor habilitatus of economic sciences. The Institute was established in 1980 and currently employs about fourteen professors and associate professors. The website is yet to be developed
