The institute mission is to understand the global dynamics of agribusiness, bioenergy and international trade through applied research, consequently widening Brazils global economic integration.
The organisation objectives are:
- to analyze the dynamics of agricultural markets and policies from Brazils trade partners and their impact on the Brazilian economy
- to offer technical support to policy makers, negotiators and representatives of the private sector helping them to build long-term strategies on trade liberalization and integration
- to develop applied research and technical studies contributing to increase international trade and investments, mainly in the agri-food and the biofuels sectors
- to engage in the formation of global research networks on emerging economies and biofuels
- disseminate information and research on trade policy and agricultural trade through seminars destined to various types of audiences and technical capacity for journalists.
