French National Institute of Demographic Studies (Institut national d’études démographiques, INED) works to analyse the demographic situation and population trends worldwide, in Europe and in France. INED adopts a multidisciplinary approach, and its areas of expertise cover the study of purely demographic phenomena such as nuptiality, fertility, mortality and migration, and also demography applied to society, economics, public health, human geography, history and more.
