Developed in close collaboration with DFID and the International Bureau of Education of UNESCO, this database contains materials and practical tools for educators working in the field of HIV and AIDS. The database has been developed primarily with the interests of African educational practitioners, teachers and education sector officials in mind. Materials of interest to mid-level health workers and to health cadre educators have also been included. A significant proportion of the database will be useable by and of interest to the educated general public and to school students.

So far as possible, materials developed in Africa or for African audiences have been included. Where no such material exists, resources from other parts of the world have been included. So far as possible material in the lingua francas of sub-Saharan Africa, English, French and Portuguese. Very little material in African languages exists on HIV in any format.
