The Global Health Trust aims to advance global health equity through strengthening the production, deployment, and empowerment of human resources for health in low-income countries. The work has been launched through a Joint Learning Initiative on Human Resources for Health and Development (JLI), a multi-stakeholder participatory learning process, to better understand the role of workers in health systems and to identify new strategies to strengthen their performance.

The JLI was launched in November 2002 in recognition of the centrality of the workforce for global health. It welcomes participation from all interested in human resources for health and development. Participants can join in the learning, contribute viewpoints or analyses, and exchange with others.

The Global Health Trust has closed. Please follow the link for more details on this project.
