Recognizing the importance of GHG (Greenhouse Gas) measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) systems as well as competency and ethics, the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute was founded as a nonprofit organization in 2007 to build the GHG management infrastructure of the future, with a focus on training and supporting a global community of qualified professionals to work on GHG measurement, accounting, auditing and management.
