EuronAid is a European network of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) active in the field of food security and food aid. It aims to

  • facilitate the implementation of NGO programmes
  • promote a critical dialogue on food aid and food security policies with the European Commission (EC) as well as with other interested parties
  • enable NGOs to deliver high quality food security and food aid programs
  • facilitate the access of NGOs to institutional donors (mainly the European Commission).

The EuronAid services include: project implementation support, including in programming and financial administration; logistical aid in food procurement and delivery; information and training facilitation, including assisting NGOs in the follow up of their proposals with relevant EC desks; capacity building in Project Cycle Management (PCM) for food-aid, food-security and emergency-aid programmes.

EuronAid also provides a forum for NGOs involved in food aid and food security programmes with the aim of stimulating the exchange of information and the sharing of experience among NGOs. EuronAid aims to foster better coordination and improvements in the efficiency of NGO programmes in the field. The forum provides the basis for making recommendations to donors on means of improving policies and procedures.

WWW is available in English, French and Spanish, and includes information about securing funding for and running food aid programmes.
