EENET is an inclusive education information-sharing network, open to everyone. Its network members include teachers, parents, students, non-governmental organisations and policy-makers.
EENET promotes and shares information and documentation originating in the South (developing countries), and prioritises the information needs of countries/organisations/individuals who lack access to basic information and resources. The Network encourages critical thinking, innovation and conversations within and between countries, on issues of inclusion, equity and rights in education. It contributes to the development of inclusive and sustainable education policy and practice by sharing relevant information and experience. EENET further promotes concepts of inclusion by being inclusive and participatory in its own practices.
Objectives:
- to disseminate appropriate documentation to teachers, people from marginalised groups, parents, children, policy-makers, practitioners, etc
- to promote South-South and South-North information flows
- to publish a regular newsletter and to contribute to existing newsletters
- to strengthen local, national and regional resource and information networks
- to promote action research
- to support the development, publication and sharing of local materials on inclusive education.
