Formerly STIS, Custom News Service is “an email and web-based alert service, designed to help anyone with an interest in National Science Foundation (NSF) news and publications find out quickly about new publications and information. It is a “custom” service that lets you select the types of publications you want to know about. It alerts you to new publications and provides links to electronic copies. Every document included in the Custom News Service alerts is available in one or more electronic formats, which can be downloaded or printed.”
Also runs email retireval sytem for those without Internet access. For a list of all documents available from GetPub, including file formats and sizes, send an email to getpub@nsf.gov with the words, “get index” in the body of the message. Send an email to getpub@nsf.gov with the word “help” in the body of the message to retrieve a list of all GetPub commands and usage tips.
