Established by St. Francis Xavier University in 1959, the Coady International Institute is world-renowned as a centre of excellence in community-based development.

Coady is in the process of rolling out a series of new web-based services for alumni, distance learners and global partners. Following a series of pilot programs in microfinance and ABCD in 2003 – 2004, these systems are being refined and finalized and will be made available in the latter half of 2005.
