The Children, Youth, and Family Consortium was established in 1991 to bring together the varied competencies of the University of Minnesota and the vital resources of Minnesota’s communities to enhance the ability of individuals and organizations to address critical health, education, and social policy concerns in ways that improve the well-being of Minnesota children, youth, and families.
The Consortium is guided by a commitment to interdisciplinary work, integrating institutional service and outreach into research and teaching, and providing for University and community engagement around child, youth and family issues.
The web site allows access to the consortiums’ publications; quarterly reports; and a question and answer forum concentrating on issues of child-rearing. Users can also sign up to receive a monthly newsletter.
Other documents and publications are accessible throught the electronic clearing house: an online librarby focussing on issues related to children, youth and families.
