The objectives of CRC are to:
- generate and develop knowledge on contemporary issues by undertaking research and studies
- conduct micro, meso and macro level socio-economic, behavioral and educational studies and undertake action research to enhance the livelihoods of Nepalese
- disseminate knowledge to a wider public through workshops and colloquium, advocacy and networking, consulting and counselling, teaching and training, and internship and exchange programs
- introduce innovative approaches in teaching and learning as well as building the capacity of community people
- create an environment of building partnership, positive and reflective thinking, and providing services for community empowerment.
