The objectives of CRC are to:

  • generate and develop knowledge on contemporary issues by undertaking research and studies
  • conduct micro, meso and macro level socio-economic, behavioral and educational studies and undertake action research to enhance the livelihoods of Nepalese
  • disseminate knowledge to a wider public through workshops and colloquium, advocacy and networking, consulting and counselling, teaching and training, and internship and exchange programs
  • introduce innovative approaches in teaching and learning as well as building the capacity of community people
  • create an environment of building partnership, positive and reflective thinking, and providing services for community empowerment.
CRC conducts research on formal and non-formal education systems, socio-economic and environmental issues, organisational development and human behaviors, rural and urban development, partnership managing and evaluation, appreciative inquiry, gender development and other contemporary issues.
