AIDS Action is committed to advocating for people affected by HIV/AIDS “until it’s over”, until no more people become infected with HIV, until people living with HIV have the care and support they need, and until the cure is found.

AIDS Action’ s major agenda items are:

  • to promote research into causes, effects, treatment, and prevention related to HIV/AIDS and to promote health care and other services for persons with HIV/AIDS
  • to lessen the economic hardships on persons with HIV/AIDS
  • to educate the public about the nature, effects, treatment, and prevention of HIV/AIDS
  • to seek an effective cure by communicating with public officials, health practitioners, and other members of the general public and by proposing more effective public policies and legislation related to HIV/AIDS and those who are living with HIV/AIDS
  • to advocate for the national/international public policy interests of those communities, local organizations, and individuals most heavily impacted by HIV/AIDS
  • to advocate for all people living with HIV/AIDS, regardless of mode of transmission, and all people at risk for HIV/AIDS
Site provides access to publications aimed at policy-makers, community-based organisations, students, researchers and the general public; calendar of events; information on legislation and policy; press-releases.
