Non-profit, non-partisan policy research organisation established to promote collaborative and comparitive policy analysis of socio-economic problems facing countries in Africa.

The objectives of the centre are as follows

  • To work with scholars and research institutes that have track records in producing policy research results that are critical in accelerating economic growth and reducing poverty at national, sub-regional and continental levels
  • To serve as a “think tank” for the provision of policy advisory services to Africa’s policymakers, intermediary organisations and leadership groups in local communities
  • To increase knowledge on policy choices and expand capacity for public policy debate

Key areas of study include global trade and trade agreements, liberalisation and structural adjustment, small and micro enterprise development.
