Africa Alive aims to create an African network where youth HIV/AIDS prevention programmes at local, national, and regional levels can share ideas, have a common, focused strategy and solicit funding for their programmes.
With support from the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programmes (JHU/CCP), the Africa Alive! network supports organisations that have formerly been working on their own to access a wealth of experience, support and expertise from colleagues within Africa and throughout the world.
Africa Action is a multi-country health communication strategy, providing support for African institutions with the potential for national and regional impact, supporting existing country-specific health programmes, building links among international donor agencies and local, national, and regional HIV/AIDS prevention programmes. The website provides access to:
- fact-sheets about HIV/AIDS
- news and information updates
- information about specific projects
- country focus features
- tips for young people’s involvement
- useful links
