The ninth world congress on health information and libraries (ICML) will be held from 20-23 September 2005 in the city of Salvador, state of Bahia, Brazil. It is being organised by the Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information – BIREME, the Pan-American Health Organization, the World Health Organization, the IFLA Section of Biological and Medical Sciences Libraries and the Brazilian Ministry of Health.
The 9th ICML will include a number of regional and national meetings, including the 7th Latin American and Caribbean Congress on Health Sciences Information, CRICS VII. The main theme of the ICML9 will be Commitment to Equity, based on the principle that knowledge should permeate all action in human health.
