This mini-website, launched in 2015, documents results of the “From impunity to justice” research undertaken by the Association for Progressive Communications (APC) in collaboration with seven country partners.

The multi-country research explored corporate and state remedies for dealing with technology-related violence against women (VAW). It highlighted the voices and experiences of women from the global south.

The research was done as part of the ‘End violence: Women’s rights and safety online’ project which has been implemented from 2012-2015. It documents 24 case studies over seven countries – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya, Mexico, Pakistan and the Philippines.

It’s multiple sections present a range of key findings, including why victims of technology-related violence against women struggle to access justice as well as recommendations for policy makers. It also highlights corporate policies of 22 companies, including national telephony companies, social media and pornography websites.
