This paper focuses on the role of institutions in mediating the effects of violence in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and considers in particular the institutional support provided for the youth in particular areas suffering from prolonged duration of public violence by the Israeli army and settlers. The paper looks at gender differences in terms of education, employment and leisure time.
