PDA is an organisation whose aim is to support processes of empowerment and self-determination in communities, organisations and individuals. PDA provides facilitation, training and research services for government, non-government and private organisations, multilateral and bilateral organisations. Areas of focus include:
- decentralisation
- poverty and social assessments
- reproductive health, including HIV/AIDS
- gender and development
- issues of governance in education, health and forestry
PDA organised and hosted the Civil Society Partnership Programme (CSPP) in Ghana – a West Africa regional workshop and seminar for civil society organisations.
