JCPP seeks to address the growing need for an ongoing process of dialogue by conducting in-depth research on issues of critical national and regional interests, publishing studies and disseminating information on key issues, and organising regular expert dialogues and seminars with participation from major stakeholders that analyse and discuss public policy with the aim of engaging the policy process and raising public awareness of critical policy issues.
Four principal objectives guide the work of JCPP. These are:
- promoting public and civil society participation in public affairs by creating a forum for public discussion of important policy issues and providing research-based inputs to an informed dialogue process.
- exploring and advancing public policy in Jordan and the Arab World on complex policy issues through the evaluation of applied policies and the formulation of new policy visions.
- influencing the policymaking process by providing policy makers in the legislative, executive and judicial authorities with knowledge inputs and objective counseling based on professional research and analysis.
- developing national knowledge bases and intellectual capital through undertaking quality research and analysis, and disseminating knowledge and information deriving from dialogue discussions.
