(a) India Population Census 1991 Database: provides the Primary Census Abstract of about 30 demographic parameters such as total/rural/urban populations with break up of male, female, SC/ST, literate, persons below 7 years, workers in various categories as agriculture, mining, household, industry, etc. This information is available for a single Village or a Block, Tehsil, District, State or National level. Various range and analytical queries are also provided for the convenience of the users. The source of this information is the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India.
(b) India Village Amenities 1991 Database: from the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India, covers all the village level amenities such as the educational and medical facilities, drinking water, power supply, transport and approach, land use pattern with details of area under irrigation by different sources as canal, well, river, etc.
