One of the largest Croatian academic institutions, carrying out educational and research activities in the fields of economics and business. The scientific contribution of the Faculty has been significant in the fields of regional development and the development options of the coastal areas.
National research projects carried out by the Faculty have included:
- Model for Development and Reconstruction of the Split-Dalmatia County
- Entrepreneurial Districts – Factor of Economic Restructuring
- Redesigning Large Croatian Enterprises
- Restructuring Croatian Financial System
The Faculty has published many scientific and professional publications as well as the international journal ‘Management – Journal of Contemporary Management Issues’, which deals with current problems in management, primarily those arising in transition countries. Within this context, it analyses functional, subject and general aspects of management, referring to all kinds of organisations: manufacturing and service enterprises, profit and non-profit, private and public, large and small.
The Faculty organises the following two international conferences:
Enterprise in Transition – which is organised biannually, analyzing the processes and models of enterprise transition, focusing especially on enterprises in transition countries
Encounters of Mediterranean Economists – which is a summit of experts from the Mediterranean countries, exchanging experiences related to common interests and economic programs in Mediterranean tourism, trade, energy production, maritime transport, shipbuilding, creation of customs-free zones, environment protection, joint ventures, etc.
