Founded in 1984, CORDES is a private non-profit organisation which conducts research into the economic, political and social reality of Ecuador and Latin America. It focuses on political institutions and how they influence democratic stability and development.
CORDES publications include:
- Carta Económica, a subscription-only monthly bulletin analysing the Ecuadorian economy
- Ecuador Economic Weekly, a subscription-only English-language bulletin covering economic news and events
- Discusión, a free electronic bulletin on the market economy and the state of law
- Tendencias, a biannual publication analysing the state of the Ecuadorian economy and aspects of the international economy relevant to Ecuador
