CDG is an initiative launched by the Institute of Development Studies and Christian Aid to investigate climate adaptation (CCA) and disaster risk reduction (DRR) governance at national and sub-national levels.
It currently focuses on four research themes:
- citizen engagement and accountability in policy processes;
- the role of established social protection policy instruments applied to differentiated vulnerability analysis;
- opportunities for building institutions for CCA, DRR and humanitarian assistance in fragile states;
- implications of international policy frameworks on national and sub-national responses to climate change and disasters
The CDG website shows projects and findings related to each research stream, and provides a space for partners and visitors to access and share related resources, and keep up to date on relevant news and events.
